SolisPLC is building the largest automation training platform. Our goal is to provide engineers, technicians, and automation enthusiasts with online training on every platform. We strive to produce content that is highly accurate to the challenges in the industry and helps practitioners in the field understand, build, and troubleshoot complex systems faster, reduce downtime, and produce scalable systems. We cover various hardware and software used in the industrial automation vertical - field devices, programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, edge solutions, cloud data aggregators, and more. Some of the brands we cover include Allen Bradley, Siemens, Phoenix Contact, Opto 22, Fanuc, Kuka, etc.

About the Role

As an instructor, you will work with our content team to build a best-in-class online industrial automation course that helps learners grasp new concepts. To be successful, you will need to take ownership of course development and production and be able to dedicate approximately 10-15 hours per week over 12-16 weeks.

We are looking for industrial automation professionals who are excited about sharing ideas with others, tinkering with technology and have a sense of communicating complex ideas with the rest of the engineering / technical community.

Requirements

We understand that you may not know all of these tools from A to Z. We’re looking for deep expertise with some of them; broad with others.

• PLC Programming Skills: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Phoenix Contact, Opto 22, Wago, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.
• HMI Development Skills: Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View ME, Siemens TIA Portal, AVEVA Wonderware, etc.
• SCADA Development Skills: Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View SE, Inductive Automation Ignition, Siemens WinCC, etc.
• [Optional] Manufacturing Execution Systems [MES]
• [Optional] Other IIoT Platforms - Ex: Node-Red
• [Optional] Manufacturing Cloud - Ex: AWS Greengrass
  

Ideal Candidate

• 2-5 Years of integration experience working in the automation field.
• Previous experience in content creation (Ex: writing blog posts or making videos).
• Previous experience with video editing software.
